Good Friends. Great Golf. Grand Cause!
On Saturday, July 14th, the sky was blue, the sun was
shining, a light breeze whispered through the trees, and 147
golfers enjoyed a perfect golf day. What more could you
want? Well how about the fact that over $31,000 was raised
to benefit American Red Cross disaster relief! The eighth
annual State Farm/Red Cross Disaster Services Open was a
huge success thanks to our friends at State Farm Insurance.
Forty-nine teams enjoyed the skill-testing Ledgestone
Country Club course at StoneBridge Village in Reeds Spring,
Missouri. And after the final putt was sunk, golfers and
their guests enjoyed a delicious meal on the patio and
applauded the victorious teams. Top-of-the-line prizes were
awarded in seven places of three flights to very close
scoring golfers. Great sports memorabilia was scooped up at
the silent auction, and one lucky raffle winner is headed to
Florida for a fabulous vacation. The day ended as perfectly
as it began!
Thanks once again to these generous sponsors. Because of
their support, disaster services are being provided in 14
southwest Missouri counties.
