Lifeguard Training (34700) << back


Certifies participant as an American Red Cross Lifeguard, in CPR / AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Oxygen Administration for the Professional Rescuer, and Preventing Disease Transmission. PREREQUISITES:

  • BE 15 years old by the last day of class
  • SWIM 500 yards continuously using these strokes in the following order: 200 yd. of front crawl with rhythmic breathing and propellant kick; 100 yd. Breaststroke; 200 yd. of either front crawl using rhythmic breathing or breaststroke,
  • SWIM 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to a minimum depth of 7 feet, retrieve a 10 lb. object, return to surface, and swim back to starting point with the object. When returning, must hold the 10 lb. object with both hands & keep face above the water.

STUDENTS MUST ATTEND ALL SCHEDULED CLASSES, NO MAKE-UP DAYS, TO PASS


Cost: $200

Time: 10 class sessions, total of 36 hours
