Local Donation Goes a Long Way
United Way of the Ozarks Gives to American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund
The United Way of the Ozarks made a gracious donation of $20,000 to the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund.
This gift really says a lot about how much the United Way doesnot only here in the Ozarksbut on a national scale comments Judith Lee Nelson, executive director for the American Red Cross Greater Ozarks Chapter.
Vice President of Associated Wholesale Grocers and United Way Board Chair Tim Bellanti says The devastation from these hurricanes has severely impacted Florida and the surrounding communities. Local volunteers are already providing assistance and we are pleased to show how much we care by providing these funds.
This money will go to the National Disaster Relief Fund, which will help victims of the recent Florida hurricanes as well as other disasters requiring financial assistance.
All disaster assistance is made free as a gift from the community.
To donate to this and other disasters, please call 1-800-HELP-NOW or log on to www.redcross.org.
Together, we can save a life.
