Time Stands Still for Tornado Victim

When you call for your kid and theres no answer, time stands still for a long time, said Phillip Field. His mobile home (shown above) was flipped upside down December 17th. Dazed and confused, Philip finally reached his son. They used a macrame plant hanger to lower themselves to a door that was ripped from its hinges, and slid down the door to the ground outside.

About the Red Cross, Phillip said, Theyve hung in there all this time-theyve been great. I know they help people all over the world, I didnt ever think it would be me.

Tornadoes can happen anytime of the year with little or no warning. Are you prepared? Do you have an evacuation plan for your family? Have you designated a safe place to gather?

Get prepared now, Tornado Preparedness keeps families safe.
