Disaster
Relief:
- 261 single-family fires and other disasters responded to
immediately
- 1,082 disaster clients were provided immediate emergency
assistance to help them get back on their feet
- 304 disaster Action Team volunteers donated 106,360 hours
of service
- 77 locally trained volunteers were assigned to American Red
Cross national disaster relief operations outside the Greater
Ozarks Chapter
- 536individuals received disaster volunteer training
- 6,724 individuals learned about disaster preparedness through
Red Cross Disaster Education programs
Armed Forces Emergency Services
- 503 families of Armed Forces members were assisted through
phone calls placed by Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency personnel
- 24 financial cases generated advances issued, loans arranged
or grants awarded to service members and/or their families.
- 28 on-call workers volunteered 6,772 hours to grant requests
for assistance or guidance in locating or communicating with
a service person.
Health, Safety & Community Services
- 12,246 people were taught lifesaving CPR and first aid skills
through 1,475 Red Cross courses
- 48 volunteers spent 1,544 hours teaching Health & Safety
courses
- 11,320 individuals learned more about Health & Safety
through 42 presentations/demonstrations
- 6,991 attendees received Red Cross Health & Safety information
at 12 health fairs
- 34 volunteers contributed 1,372 hours to serve in eleven
Community First Aid Stations
- 3,999 volunteer hours were given to hospitals, special projects,
data entry and clerical duties
